SUMMARY:March Monthly Meetup
DESCRIPTION:So was Werner last year when his client decided that they would
  generally discontinue working with contractors.
 Three and a half years
into a contract that was supposed to last only six months\, it was not a h
 uge surprise.
Werner has been a Project/Program Management Consultant an
d Contractor for 20 years\, most of it being self-employed at his own comp
any TPIMC\, LLC (TechPro | Interim Management &amp\; Consulting).
 He has
worked in more than a dozen European countries as well as in the US and w
ith partners spanning across 13.5h timezones\; mostly in the Telecoms/IT i
ndustry\, but also in Retail and Healthcare. Sometimes projects were small
but he also led projects with 35+ team members and budgets of $10+ millio
 n.
Holding an MBA\, a PMP Certification and with a CSM under his belt\,
he ventured out to look for a new role – as he’d done multiple times b
 efore\; because that’s what you do when you’re self-employed.
 Now\,
looking back\, he would like to share the ‘Lessons Learned’ from his j
ourney in a very subjective review at the Dinner meeting of the PMI Monter
 ey Bay Chapter.
