January Chapter Meeting - Tavonga Siyavora from Google X

This presentation is open to members and non-members. Please note this event will NOT be recorded. Tavonga works in Partnerships for Mineral, an agtech Alphabet company that up until 1/10/23 Google had been incubating in stealth within its moonshot factory X since 2017.

Tavonga Siyavora

A Zimbabwe native, Tavonga obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and later an M.E. in Systems Engineering from Iowa State University.

He started his career with John Deere in 2008 and had a wide range of engineering, product marketing, and program management experiences over the years. Mostly with the JD Intelligent Solutions Group, based out of Des Moines, Iowa. But also a period at the Deere HQ for Sub-Saharan Africa.

Since 2021, Tavonga has been at Google’s moonshot factory. And through Project Mineral, work with partner companies to bring the latest in ML/AI to advance sustainable agriculture around the world.
